Canadian colleges and universities provide a range of sport and physical activity program options for post-secondary students, including recreation and competitive streams. Many also offer specialized programming and facility sharing with community sport groups.

Educating students

Colleges and universities create and deliver the curricular needs of CS4L through programs that teach post-secondary students about physical literacy, LTAD, and being Active for Life. These programs pertain to the areas of physical education, recreation, kinesiology, human kinetics, leisure, early childhood education, and teaching.

These post-secondary students will become future teachers, coaches, and administrators of our physical activity and sport systems. Many or most will also become parents, and parents are a critical target group as parents are the ones making choices for their children about what programs/sports they will participate.
